This position is on HCR's Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC). HTFC is a public benefit corporation, and a Civil Service exam is not required for this position. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications outlined below to be considered.

SUMMARY: The New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation (“HTFC”) seeks an inspector to conduct apartment and property inspections on behalf of recipients of vouchers for the federal Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (“HCV”) program and the New York State Housing Access Voucher Program (“HAVP”) according to the National Standards for Physical Inspection of Real Estate (“NSPIRE”) and in compliance federal and state rules. The inspector will conduct the following types of inspections across upstate New York, including central New York, the Capital Region, the Mohawk Valley, the Southern Tier, and the North Country:
1. Initial/Annual Inspection
2. Re-inspections
3. Emergency Inspections
4. Special Inspections
5. Quality Control inspections
The inspector shall be responsible for the following:
1. Conduct initial/annual Inspections, re-inspections, special and emergency inspections on behalf of HTFC for state and federal voucher participants.
2. Conduct quality control inspections on behalf of HTFC to review the performance of third-party contractors and Local Administrators.
