Shipping & Receiving Associate

Job Summary :

We are looking for a reliable and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Austin, Texas. This position is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse Logistics . You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, including receiving shipments, verifying contents, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate records. A strong commitment to Safety and attention to detail are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities :

• Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips against orders, and inspect for damages.
• Accurately document all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the receiving and shipping areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the receiving and shipping docks.
• Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, ensuring the proper use of PPE .
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock management.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
• Ensure compliance with all shipping and receiving regulations.
• Support the overall efficiency of the Logistics operation through diligent work practices.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred. Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of PPE . Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Logistics processes is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic are essential.
