Abacus Staffing is partnering with the City of Virginia Beach Public Utilities Department to hire a detail-oriented and customer-focused Public Utilities Clerk. Public Utilities Clerk – Business Division
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.91 per hour
About the Role
As a member of the Line Fees workgroup, you will play an important role in helping residents, builders, and contractors understand and complete the process of connecting to the City’s water and sewer systems. This team is responsible for calculating and collecting water and sewer connection fees for new construction, renovations, and building additions.
You’ll work closely with engineers, developers, field personnel, and multiple City agencies, making strong communication skills and attention to detail essential.
