Job Description The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of general repair and maintenance duties for the Line Repair Department. May drive a Vactor truck or dump truck. This is a safety sensitive and/or DOT position. As such, you will be required to participate in random drug testing at the city.

- Installs, maintains, and repairs City water and sewer lines.
- Maintains equipment and cleans hand tools and job sites.
- Assists in keeping daily records of all operations.
- Stocks crew truck with parts.
- Addresses customer complaints and problems.
- Performs on-call after hour duties.
- Operate, as required, a Vactor truck to clean water and sewer mains.
- Assists in training new hires.
- Performs related work as required.
Must be able to provide services for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of League City's citizens, and that, City employees must be able to work immediately before, during, or immediately after an emergency.
Qualifications- High school diploma (or GED equivalent)
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Must obtain Class D Water Operator license issued by TCEQ within 18 months of employment
