Position Overview

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department to join our partner's dynamic team in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide variety of emergent conditions.
• Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions in a fast-paced environment.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education during critical care situations and post-discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Active California Registered Nurse License - Upon hire
BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (American Heart Association) - Upon hire
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care/Hospital setting (as of August 9, 2024)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a dedicated Emergency Department (excluding clinicals/training/other units)

Preferred Qualifications

National Certification in area of specialty (CEN, TCRN, or equivalent) upon hire
Experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
