Hearing Screener

Onsite Neonatal Partners invites you to join our practice as a per diem Newborn Hearing Screen Technician at Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ. You will be working for Onsite providing hearing screen tests for newborn infants. The hourly rate for our Newborn Hearing Screen Technician position is $17.00.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare/childcare provider to conduct newborn hearing screen tests, communicate results with parents and clinicians, educate on post-discharge follow-up as needed, and assist with database management. You will be reporting to the Hearing Screen Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center. This is a great opportunity for a nursing student, healthcare provider, someone with childcare experience or someone who is looking to work while their children are at school or daycare. We are looking for candidates with weekday, weekend, and holiday availability as it is a shared responsibility of the team. Newborn Hearing Screen training will be provided by Onsite Neonatal Partners.

Key Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Newborn/Pediatric or childcare experience preferred, general health care experience required
• Demonstrates sensitivity and compassion when handling infants
• Passion for providing family-centered customer service
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks and assignments
• Able to perform accurate and timely data entry
• Demonstrates ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Must have COVID vaccination including booster, if eligible
• Must have excellent communication skills
