The Role

As a Lead Software Developer, you will be responsible for helping to implement the vision of our software solutions, with a particular emphasis on Java technologies and networking components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems.

Location

This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.

The Main Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.

• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and network performance.

• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and establish quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of code quality.

• Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and technologies that can enhance our software architecture.

• Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design specifications, architectural diagrams, and technical standards.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience

• 6+ years professional experience with a Master's Degree or equivalent education and experience

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and network architecture or Cloud Deployments.

• Proficiency in Java, Redis, Lucene Indices, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs and Network Connectivity

• Cloud Implementations - particularly Azure and GCP.

• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) and distributed systems.

• Proven experience leading technical teams and projects. Able to coach younger / less experienced developers as well as create a good working relationship with offshore developers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$105,786 - $141,047 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY

$111,074 - $148,099 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$116,364 - $155,152 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
