Position Overview :

Responsible for coaching and mentoring youth in the Basketball program, including teaching fundamentals, advanced skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Coach will plan and lead practices, develop game strategies, and support the overall academic and personal growth of student-athletes.

Position Qualifications :

HS Diploma / GED required. Valid NYS Driver’s License Required. Certified Recreation Coach or certified NYS teacher with coaching experience or equivalent combination of education and coaching experience. NYS Coaching certification or temporary coaching Cert. required. CPR and First Aid certification required (or must obtain within 3 months of hire). Prior Basketball coaching experience required. Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.
