And, you can rest assured that your wellbeing and prosperity are our to know us: About - Gesa Credit UnionRole Summary:The Software Developer in Test (SDET) II is responsible for contributing to and improving the quality assurance process at Gesa Credit Union by designing, building, and maintaining automated tests and performing functional/manual testing as needed. The SDET II works closely with developers, Product Owners, and delivery leaders to create test plans, expand automated regression coverage, and validate changes across UI, API, and integration layers. This role operates with increasing independence, helps stabilize and improve test execution in CI, and contributes to team-level quality practices while continuing to grow technical depth in test automation, API testing, and quality You Will Be Doing:Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Developers to develop automated and custom test plans for software applications, including defining acceptance validation and regression scopeDesign, develop, and maintain automated tests in alignment with Gesa's coding standards and established test patterns; expand coverage for new features and critical member workflowsDevelop and write tests for custom WEB APIs and integrated services to validate functional behavior (REST/SOAP)Execute functional/manual testing as needed (including exploratory testing) and document results to support release readinessManage, document, and communicate software defects; collaborate with the team to triage issues and verify fixesDesign and implement integration tests with core systems; support test data and environment needs required for repeatable validationCollaborate on CI pipelines related to Software Quality Assurance, including integrating automated test execution and improving reliability of test runs (, investigating failures and stabilizing flaky tests)Partner with Product Owners to identify high-value manual test cases suitable for automation and drive conversion into automated regression coverageParticipate in sprint planning and retrospectives; provide input and estimates for testing effort and automation workPerform peer reviews of test automation code and test design to ensure quality, maintainability, and alignment with team standardsMaintain knowledge of current and evolving technology, evaluate changes in or new technology, and share relevant information with senior engineers and team leadershipDevelop and maintain thorough knowledge of assigned products and applications; provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of test suites and quality signalsAbout You:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving skillsMaintain working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and testing strategiesAbility to communicate test results, quality risks, and release readiness clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to learn quickly, accept feedback, and improve through coaching and code review; ability to work with increasing independenceAbility to analyze information and recommend achievable process improvements to managementSelf-motivated and able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple complex tasksWhat You Will Need:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent of specialized courses, training, and/or directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeA minimum of three (3) years of similar or related functional and technical experienceKnowledge of the Financial Industry, products, and services.
