Operations Specialist (Field Performance)
We're looking for a driven Operations Specialist to support and elevate performance across a network of automotive service locations. In this field-based role, you'll act as a trusted advisor and coachhelping teams improve sales, streamline operations, and deliver a top-tier customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on the road, enjoys working directly with teams, and has a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Drive operational excellence by partnering with service locations to improve daily operations and performance, ensuring alignment with regional goals, processes, and brand standards. Identify inefficiencies and implement practical, results-driven solutions.
Coach and develop teams by training staff on service processes, sales techniques, and inspection standards. Provide hands-on coaching to improve team performance and accountability. Serve as the go-to expert for light repair and express service operations.
Analyze performance and improve results by reviewing KPIs and Repair Orders (ROs) to uncover trends and opportunities. Develop and implement action plans to close performance gaps. Track progress and drive measurable improvements across locations.
Support sales and service growth by assisting with tire and general service sales strategies, helping optimize inventory, pricing, and product offerings, and planning and supporting quarterly sales events and promotions.
Ensure quality and compliance by conducting operational audits focused on workflow, cycle times, and service quality. Monitor adherence to safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards. Ensure accurate use of systems, processes, and reporting tools.
Field support and projects include maintaining detailed visit reports and performance documentation, supporting local marketing efforts, including SEO and competitive analysis, and contributing to regional initiatives and special projects.
What you bring includes experience in automotive service, retail operations, or multi-site environments, a strong understanding of service workflows, sales processes, and customer experience. Excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills, a strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action, and self-motivation with comfort working independently in the field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable working with operational data and reporting tools.
Requirements include a valid driver's license required, ability to travel up to 80% (including overnight travel), and a high school diploma or equivalent required (bachelor's preferred).
What success looks like includes measurable improvement in KPIs across assigned locations, increased sales and service performance at the store level, consistent execution of operational standards and processes, and strong relationships with store teams and leadership.
