Document Control
Principal Responsibilities
- Provide required control of documentation to NPI Package for NPI / ECO Team, i.e., Travelers, FAIR Notice, NPI Review Checklist, Quote, PO, Q-CODES, Engineering Sales Worksheet, Customer drawings, Pictures of Board / Product, Customer specific E-MAILS as waivers, etc., to meet good manufacturing practices in the electronics industry for review.
- Create job travelers and work instructions based on customer drawings and specifications, compute the number of travelers based on lot size, PCBA size, square footage of Spray Carts, Compute the number of Coupons required and prepare accordingly upon release of travelers.
- Ensure timely, accurate and efficient documentation preparation.
- Maintains and administers Document and Change Control procedures in compliance with company standard document control procedures, i.e., DCN Procedure for specifications, procedures, forms over two years for automatic review and revision as needed.
- Monitors and tracks the review, approval and distribution of documents to ensure timely completion to meet established timelines, i.e., DCN Procedure for specifications, procedures, forms over two years for automatic review and revision as needed.
- Resolves document control issues of PO Review / Contract Review Checklist findings through collaboration with Quality Assurance, Engineering and Customer Service.
- Responsible for managing online storage of documents, Traveler, DWG, Customer Specifications, Standards, etc..
- Make monthly report for Contract Review Performance Tracking and submit to QA Mgr. and Customer Service in SJ.
- DC Clerk should be present on floor to understand defect types as described in SPC forms.
- Provides copies of the Customer Q-Codes, Part List to NPI / ECO review team via inclusion in the Review Packet.
- Follow the Job Traveler Template F3106 Step by Step when preparing the travelers for release.
- Utilize PO Review / Contract review Checklist to highlight discrepancies and report regularly monthly.
- Include Standards identified in Customer PO’s like IPC-610 Class 2 or Class 3, J-STD-001, NASA-STD 8739.1 etc. in NPI / ECO Review Packet.
- Include Pictures of PCBA’s for top and bottom sides, also side views as needed per customer requirement.
- Create DR – Discrepancy Reports for customers from inputs of the QC Inspector Team or Production as backup for these DR reports to send to Customer Service who sends to the customer. Support DR reports preparation as needed.
- Working knowledge of RCCA - Root Cause Containment Action & CAPA -Corrective and Preventive Actions in 8D Format to respond to customer complaints whenever the root cause is Document Control mistakes and miss out during the Job Traveler generation from customer drawing and specifications.

Must be a US PersonMinimum 5 years’ experience in Document ControlMust be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)High School diploma / GED requiredMust read and comprehend EnglishExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrates attention to detailStrong organization skillsAbility to adhere to strict deadlines and proceduresFamiliar with basic component identification of printed circuit boardsFamiliar with reading / interpreting engineering drawing notes and bill of materialsUse of PDM or other document control application is a plusWorking knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 quality management system is a plusWorking knowledge of ITAR / EAR handling of Technical DataMust be a Team Player, support other Document Control Associates in terms of prioritizing workload priorities
