Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document weekly, monthly, and quarterly facility inspections.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and local/state building codes.
• Maintain maintenance logs, vendor records, and facility work orders.
• Assess vehicle condition, identify worn or damaged parts, and perform necessary diagnostic tests.
• Perform diagnostics and minor repairs on Class A trucks, including brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and engine components.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Conduct test drives and fine-tune vehicle controls and systems.
• Document all services and repairs in fleet management software.

Requirements:

• Class A Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices, mechanical inspection tools, and supply management.
• Demonstrated technical understanding, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Effective verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with inventory control and maintaining accurate records.
• Must provide a basic set of hand tools.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
