Job Function:
- Conducting evaluations of referred students to determine functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each student’s needs and goals. Areas assessed include activities of daily living (e.g., feeding, dressing, hygiene), fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, perceptual-motor skills, and independent living capabilities.
- Creating and implementing treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Selecting and facilitating educational, recreational, and social activities to help students adapt to their disabilities and acquire essential life and vocational skills.
- Providing in-service training to other care staff on therapeutic techniques and program objectives.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required.
- Collaborating with families and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into home and school environments through consultations and team discussions.
- Documenting therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in student records; contributing to the overall evaluation of students’ medical and psychological conditions in coordination with teachers, social workers, nurses, and families.

- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- 1 year of prior experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred.
- Must hold a current New York State license in Occupational Therapy.
