Position: Copy Editor

JM Services and Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. As a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing various written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, perfect for someone looking for a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and edit a variety of written materials, including articles, reports, press releases, marketing materials, and more

- Ensure all written materials adhere to company style and branding guidelines

- Check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors

- Fact-check information and sources to ensure accuracy

- Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve the overall quality of written materials

- Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve their writing skills

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in language usage

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a copy editor or similar role

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors

- Proficient in using editing and proofreading tools

- Familiarity with AP Style and other style guides

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong time-management and organizational skills

- Knowledge of SEO and online content best practices is a plus
