Under the general supervision of the Unit Manager, provides clerical support in the patient care areas.

Escorts new admissions to patient room; orients patient to environment (e.g., use of call button, telephone, TV, location of bathroom)
Collects data for CQI monitoring and participates in follow-up action.
Participates in ongoing Quality Performance Improvement initiatives; identifies opportunities for organizational improvement.
Participates in in-service programs.
Assists in orientation of new personnel.
Assists other personnel as needed.
Identifies unsafe conditions and reports to appropriate personnel.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education: High school graduation or equivalent required.
Experience: 1 year of administrative or financial experience in a health care environment preferred.
Skills: Typing: 25 wpm (tested) Basic familiarity with medical terminology. Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Patient care units; contact with patients, visitors, staff. Mainly sedentary with occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Mobility required. Protective clothing may be required: gloves.
Pay Range: USD $24.08 - USD $24.62 /Hr.
