Overview

Program Coordinator / Production PM (Junior Program Director)

Type : Full-time

Location : Hybrid preferred (flex based on recording schedule)

Reports to : Senior Program Director

Supports : Multiple shows + shared production / social teams

Role Summary

Salem Podcast Network, a division of Salem Media, offers an exceptional opportunity for a Junior Program Director / Production Coordinator.  This role turns a creative team into a machine. You’ll keep schedules, assets, deadlines, and handoffs running smoothly across multiple shows—so producers and editors can focus on quality, not logistics. If you love systems, checklists, and making chaos feel organized, you’ll crush this.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Own

  • Recording calendars and production schedules across shows
  • Traffic management : ensuring footage / audio / assets move from capture → post → social on time
  • Creating and distributing clip briefs, deadlines, and checklists to the offshore team
  • Asset organization (drive hygiene, naming conventions, deliverables tracking)
  • Status updates and follow-ups so nothing gets stuck
  • Documentation : workflows, SOPs, and standard forms / templates

Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)

  • Everyone knows what’s shipping, when, and who owns it
  • Fewer missed deadlines and less “where is that file?” chaos
  • Offshore team is easier to manage because briefs and feedback are organized
  • The whole system feels calmer and more reliable

    • Qualifications

    Requirements

  • 2+ years in project coordination, production coordination, or ops support (media preferred)
  • Extremely organized and deadline-driven
  • Comfortable working with creative teams and tracking multiple moving parts
  • Strong communication and follow-through

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with Airtable / Notion / Asana / Trello
  • Familiarity with video workflows and deliverables
  • Comfortable coordinating contractors or offshore teams

    $50,000 - $65,000 Annually
