Description - What You'll Do

• Perform routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-encompassing areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology-according to established protocols.
• Analyze laboratory results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection and adequately prepare samples for testing as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, train new personnel or students, and help uphold quality standards in the lab.
• Ensure a clean, safe workspace by adhering to stringent regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health degree coupled with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
