Job Title: Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technician to handle the loading and unloading of equipment, perform basic preventative maintenance, and conduct minor repairs efficiently and safely to minimize equipment downtime.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct minor repairs on Power/HVAC/Compressor/Pump equipment and accessories.
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in the safest and most effective manner possible.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Power/HVAC/Compressor/Pump equipment.
• Basic knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, HVAC, and Diesel driven Pumps.
• Understanding of diesel equipment, electronics, and hydraulics.
• Operational process/system aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EPA Universal certification.
• Skills in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Experience with generator, hydraulics, electronics, and facilities maintenance.

Work Environment

Work will initially be based in a shop at our Virginia Beach location, followed by work at the Newport News Shipyard. The role requires physical activity, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 25 pounds or more, with tasks performed both indoors and outdoors as required. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
