Concrete Superintendent

*Please note, this is a travel-based role with a minimum one-year assignment in Vail, CO. Employee housing will be provided for the duration of the project.*

Job Summary: Supervises concrete field construction projects, including its organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As directed by the Concrete Project Manager and/or Project/Lead Superintendent and for the concrete specific area of work:

• Refine and implement site planning, logistics and procedures for the execution of the works
• Review survey and layout; verify the work of others
• Monitor and communicate the schedule for concrete work
• Monitor and enforce the comprehensive project safety & security program as defined in the company safety program and in accordance with all applicable safety codes and regulations
• Coordinate and schedule the work of subcontractors
• Refine and implement the project’s Shaw 1-2-3 Quality Control program. Specifically:
  • Participate in pre-phase meetings and scheduled inspections
  • Coordinate required inspections
• Review submittals, RFI's, and any other documentation related to self-perform concrete
• Implement the plan for:
  • Jobsite housekeeping
  • Temporary heat and enclosures
  • Temporary power and lighting
  • Material storage, handling and hoisting
  • Vertical movement (ladders, stairs, lifts)
• Coordinate labor & equipment plan, Material inventory and control, Budget, Code tracking and management
• Document project performance in Procore
• Daily Reports:
  • Time cards, Safety inspections, Safety training, Safety Photographs, Schedule updates, QA/QC Inspections, Subcontractor meeting minutes, Subcontractor deficiency notices, Owner notices
• Coordinate as required the activities of inspection agencies
• Handle Job labor relations
• Facilitate dispute resolution
• Manage owner acceptance of the work
• Assist with project closeout
• Perform other duties and take on other responsibilities as required

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is desired, but not required.
• At least 5 years experience at the Superintendent level leading commercial concrete crews and/or working on commercial multi-family ground-up construction (Hospitals, Apartments, University Dorms, Hotels) with concrete knowledge/certifications from PTI and/or ACI.
• Experience using Procore, scheduling software MS Project / P6 highly desired.

Compensation: $95,000 To $120,000 annual salary

• Pay Type: Salary
• Pay Range: $95,000 To $120,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
• Other Compensation: Bonus commensurate with individual performance, company performance, and experience.
