Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Rater to work with individuals with acute diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression. This role involves performing clinical and neurocognitive evaluations and interviews, administering and scoring tests that assess cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional status.

Responsibilities

• Administer clinical rating scales to study participants to confirm diagnoses and assess levels of psychopathology and function.

• Complete organizational queries related to clinical scales and neuropsych ratings.

• Utilize interpersonal and clinical skills for the management of study participants across various neuroscience therapeutic areas.

• Participate actively in acquiring ongoing knowledge and instruction.

• Assist management in maintaining a positive and motivated work environment.

• Support the Principal Investigator (PI) in maintaining data integrity from clinical rating scales and neurocognitive testing.

• Ensure continuity of data collection during staff absences, including documentation of consensus between backup and primary ratings.

• Conduct clinical research consensus rounds for accurate signal detection with clinical subject ratings.

• Participate in assessing prescreened and screening patients per PI's discretion and protocol.

• Complete study-specific training in a timely manner.

• Ensure adherence to best practices, FDA regulations, ICH, GCP, company guidelines, and policies.

• Assume other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall operation of the team.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in clinical assessment with acute psychiatric conditions.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English, with effective communication skills in both languages.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with the mental health population.

• Master's Degree and/or Ph.D./Psy.D in Psychology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in clinical research, particularly as a Rater or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in acute psychiatric studies.

• Foreign language skills are advantageous, ideally a psychiatrist.

• Ability to handle multiple studies and see a variable number of patients per day based on study requirements.

Work Environment

The role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with on-call duties on weekends on a rotating schedule approximately once a month. The position requires flexibility in handling 3-7 studies at a time, with a patient volume of 1-7 per day. The work involves patient assessments, report writing, and follow-ups. A professional and adaptable attitude is essential.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hollywood, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Benefits package available. Client observes 7 holidays annually including: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
