- PTO Responsibilities :
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods : Degreasing, solvent cleaning, foaming, CIP / COP, Pressure washing (hot / cold), confined space cleaning, tank, pit, trench, and equipment cleaning
- Ability to identify contamination types (oil, grease, chemicals, biological, particulate)
- Basic mechanical awareness to avoid damage to equipment, seals, sensors, and electrical components
- Knowledge of Confined Space Entry (Authorized Entrant), Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HazCom / SDS), Respiratory Protection (fit-tested if required), PPE proficiency (chemical suits, gloves, face shields, respirators), Spill response, and waste handling procedures
- Read and follow SDS and work instructions
- Environmental compliance awareness
- Comfortable working around running or recently de-energized equipment (per permit)
- Complete work permits and job hazard analyses (JHA / JSA)
- Document cleaning completion, chemicals used, and issues identified
- Communicate equipment condition concerns to maintenance or operations
- Follow written SOPs and plant rules without deviation
- Strong safety mindset — stop-work authority respected
- Attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with maintenance and operations
- This position is safety sensitive Qualifications :
- 1–3+ years of industrial or commercial cleaning experience (manufacturing, food & beverage, chemical, power, or heavy industry preferred)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Ability to identify contamination types (oil, grease, chemicals, biological, particulate)
- Basic mechanical awareness to avoid damage to equipment, seals, sensors, and electrical components
- Knowledge of chemical handling
- Ability to work in hot, wet, confined, or elevated environments AND weekends and shutdowns
- Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing / kneeling for extended periods
- Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification
- Industrial vacuum or Ice blasting experience Compensation : $18 - $22 hourly DOE
