Job Description and Duties
We’re currently hiring for an Information Technology Associate (ITA) position! In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting over 150 departments that rely on the FI$Cal system for their day-to-day operations.
As an ITA, you’ll use your knowledge of IT and business processes to analyze issues, resolve system incidents, and support change requests. You’ll also serve as a go-to expert for end-users, helping them troubleshoot problems and understand how to get the most out of the FI$Cal system. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with systems, and making a real impact across state departments.
The duties for this position are focused in the Business Technology Management domain, however, work may be assigned in the other domains as needed.

Working Conditions
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees currently required to work in-person at least two days per week. In alignment with Executive Order N-22-25, FI$Cal employees will be required to work in-person at least four days per week. FI$Cal’s office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, CA 95815.
Candidates residing outside of California are welcome to interview, but proof of California residency is required prior to appointment. Relocation and commute expenses are the responsibility of the employee.
This position requires prolonged sitting in an office-setting environment with the use of a personal computer. Employees must demonstrate a commitment to maintain a working environment free from discrimination and sexual harassment. All staff must maintain regular, consistent, predictable attendance, maintain good working habits and adhere to all policies and procedures.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with Department of FISCal.
