Overview

The Data Entry Operator I performs routine data entry tasks under close supervision, following established procedures and detailed instructions. This role processes standardized source documents requiring minimal interpretation or coding and supports accurate data input within designated systems. Work is repetitive in nature and adheres strictly to prescribed guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Enter data from standardized source documents into designated computer systems.
• Follow detailed instructions and established procedures to ensure accurate data input.
• Process coded documents requiring little or no interpretation.
• Verify data entries for completeness and accuracy based on provided guidelines.
• Identify incomplete or inconsistent source documents and refer issues to supervisory personnel.
• Maintain organized records of processed documents.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
• Operate basic computer equipment and data entry software applications.
• Perform other routine clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
