IT Application Business Analyst Developer Co-op Spring 2026

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Engineering Intern with a passion for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data-driven development. You will work alongside our MassDOT Technology division's AI Engineering team to design, build, and deploy AI / ML applications and data pipelines using AWS services.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience applying machine learning and AI techniques in a cloud-native environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

AI & Machine Learning Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and other machine learning models using AWS tools such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Lambda, and Deep Learning AMIs.
• Assist in the design and deployment of AI / ML-powered applications and intelligent automation workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Research emerging AI / ML techniques and support experimentation and documentation of findings
