MAIN PURPOSE

The Logistics Excellence Specialist will lead and support the transformation of our regional transportation and distribution operations by implementing digitalization and standardization initiatives that strengthen efficiency and end-to-end logistics performance. This role will focus on driving the rollout of SAP warehouse and transportation management systems across multiple countries, as well as managing key transportation and distribution projects to ensure streamlined operations, service reliability, and continuous improvement.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Analyze and implement regional Customer experience improvements in our Distribution offering across all relevant touchpoints, including services, digitalisation, technology and documents
• Support in the development of customer collaboration opportunities (digitalisation and e-commerce initiatives)
• Benchmarking of transport operations
• Analyze and support sustainability transparency and development as part of our footprint and customer offering.
• Support and drive the development of B&I Distribution- and Warehouse-related reports.
• Participate in building a culture of measurable safety performance and improvement (in on-site logistics, transport, customer delivery)
• Support to project managers in global projects.
• Analyze and optimise inventory management strategies to minimise holding costs and maximise operational efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse layout and space utilisation to enhance storage capacity and throughput.
• Lead the implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement of SAP WM and eWM systems across warehouses, ensuring alignment with business needs and global standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is usually required.
• Certification in Project Management.
• Warehousing, logistics and transport operations
• Project Management
• Familiarity with SAP warehouse management systems (WM and eWM), including implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong analytical skills
• Warehousing, logistics and distribution operational experience
• Experience with project implementations and/or participation
• Working across cultures
• Effective and proactive communication across disciplines (sales, production, logistics, finance)
• Expert operational skills with a deep understanding of logistics operations
• Proficiency in SAP systems (especially SAP WM/eWM)
