Job Summary:
We are seeking a bilingual Benefits Coordinator to assist producers with client communications, benefit plan management, and policy servicing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with insurance carrier systems, strong communication skills, and an active California Life & Health License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support producers in preparing proposals, presentations, and client communications.
- Deliver policy and plan documents accurately and on time.
- Manage and process benefit plan changes, including additions, deletions, and corrections.
- Maintain deep knowledge of benefit plan coverage, eligibility, and structure to confidently assist subscribers.
- Communicate with third-party vendors regarding COBRA administration and client requests.
- Regularly follow up with clients to assess changes that may impact coverage or benefits.
- Utilize carrier agent portals such as Kaiser, Health Net, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cal Choice, Warner Pacific, and United Healthcare.
- Ensure all documentation and client interactions comply with applicable regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Active California Life & Health License (required).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Proficiency with EASE, Sagitta, and/or AMS 360 systems.
- Experience using carrier agent portals (Kaiser, Health Net, Anthem, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of life insurance and employee benefits.
- Ability to clearly explain complex coverage details and assist beneficiaries with sensitivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous insurance or sales experience preferred.
