Personal Care Assistant

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services is seeking dedicated personal care assistants, caregivers, or home health aides. We require at least 6 months of caregiving experience that can be verified, or CNA certification under the NC registry. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to transport you to and from clients' homes are essential.

Your Responsibilities Include :

• Assisting with daily activities such as ambulation, housekeeping, and personal care.
• Providing companionship and fostering social interaction.
• Following the client's aide plan tasks, either through our app or in the home.
• Completing daily tasks using electronic visit verification (EVV).
• Encouraging clients with self-help activities.
• Offering basic personal care, including bathing, grooming, meal preparation (considering dietary needs), and assistance with limited transfers.
• Utilizing safety precautions, universal precautions, and following infection control procedures.
• Performing secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning living spaces, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment; notify Action Health Staffing of any hazardous issues.
• Reporting any unusual changes in the client's condition to Action Health Staffing.
• Respecting clients' confidentiality and privacy and adhering to the Patients' Bill of Rights.
• Delivering high-quality care; do not attempt any tasks not included in the client's care plan or beyond your credentials.
• Being aware of the client's limitations while still offering them privacy.
• Assisting only with self-administration of medications; do not administer medications directly.
• Reporting any suspected abuse, neglect, unsafe living conditions, or breaches of privacy / confidentiality to Action Health Staffing immediately.
