The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Hotel Housepersons to join our team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will be responsible for supervising Houseperson team members, ensuring the cleanliness of guest and public areas in the hotel, and assisting the Room Attendants when necessary. Responsibilities

• Clean corridors, elevators, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
• Remove trash and linen bags, deliver refrigerators and cots to guest rooms, and turn mattresses or move furniture as needed
• Restock linen closets with clean glassware and linens, and keep all housekeeping closets stocked and organized
• Sweep and pick up trash from parking lots and team member entrances, and clean high-touch points, public washrooms, employee washrooms, and the staff cafeteria
• Notify maintenance of areas needing repairs, assist in unloading and storing deliveries, and deliver express check-out folios to guestrooms

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak and understand basic English to communicate with guests and other housekeeping team members
• Previous experience in a hotel or other high-volume location is beneficial
• No experience or diploma required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
• Bending, reaching, grasping, climbing, lifting, carrying, kneeling, and repetitive motions are required on a regular basis
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
