[job_card.job_description]Strategic Financial Leadership Analytical and Forward-Thinking Compliance and Risk Management Communication and Influence Organizational Agility Team Leadership Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance strongly preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership of multi-department finance functions. CPA certification preferred. Experience with federal grants, contracts, and large-scale budgeting required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive. May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds infrequently. Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day, sitting 50% of the day. May bend, stoop, reach, and grasp as necessary. Occasional travel required to program sites and leadership meetings nationwide.
Vice President of Finance
VQ operates around the nation, providing care services such as residential programming, community-based services, and in-home services for children and their families. We work with state and federal governments to go where the need is greatest and give back to communities that need our services the most. The Vice President of Finance will provide strategic leadership and oversight of VisionQuest's financial operations, ensuring fiscal integrity, compliance, and alignment with the organization's mission and strategic objectives. This position directs all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, grants management, payroll, treasury, and risk management functions across all programs and corporate operations.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP of Finance serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, advising on financial strategy, long-term planning, and organizational performance. The VP ensures that financial systems, controls, and processes are optimized for accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency. This role promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all finance-related activities.
