Speech-Language Pathologist

• Bilingual Special Education Speech Therapist
• for a
• temp-to-perm
• opportunity at a Staten Island special education school.

This clinician will play a critical role in supporting communication development, IEP progress, and student success within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

• Key Responsibilities
• Deliver speech-language pathology services as mandated by each student's IEP, including individual and group therapy sessions.
• Participate in scheduling to ensure all mandated services are delivered consistently.
• Provide clinical guidance and consultation to TSSLD teachers and Clinical Fellows as needed.
• Maintain detailed and timely session notes aligned with student goals.
• Conduct annual evaluations, write progress reports, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Develop, update, and document IEP communication goals based on assessments and student progress.
• Support the identification and implementation of assistive communication devices and technology.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and advocate for students' communication and feeding needs.
• Required Qualifications
• Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License
• Valid TSSLD Certification (Teaching Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
• Bilingual Extension in Spanish
• (mandatory for bilingual caseload)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience working with
• students with autism
• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
