Job description
Employment Type: Full-TimeWork Location: 100% onsite in Victor, NY with travel to customer locationsCompensation: Target salary range: $50,000 – $65,000 +incentives
OverviewIntegrated Systems is a 40-year telecommunications and IT integrator supporting metropolitan voice, data, and video networks. We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused technician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and continuous learning. This role supports end-user systems, Windows servers, and network connectivity for both internal operations and customer environments.
  • Partial Description of Work Activities / Duties
  • Provide onsite and remote support for desktop, server, peripheral, and network connectivity issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve workstation and application issues (Microsoft Windows), including printers and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot TCP/IP connectivity (DNS, DHCP, routing, Wi-Fi/VLAN fundamentals) and coordinate escalation when required.
  • Assist with server support activities, including basic Active Directory tasks, patching, backups, and service monitoring.
  • Support virtualized environments and storage systems (VMware/Hyper-V exposure; NAS/SAN familiarity).
  • Deploy and maintain endpoint security and protection tools (anti-malware, firewall/endpoint protection, patching).
  • Document work performed, maintain network/system documentation, and keep accurate asset and configuration records.
  • Support data center operations and monitoring functions, including troubleshooting physical plant and cabling issues when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Professional customer service skills with clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize and triage multiple issues while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to virtualized server environments (VMware and/or Hyper-V).
  • Exposure to NAS and SAN storage systems.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) or equivalent hands-on experience.
