Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologists and / or staff physicians while administering ionizing radiation in the course of computerized tomography (CT) examinations in concordance with physician's orders. This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of CT scanners, flow rate injectors, an EKG monitoring system, a picture archiving system. This position is responsible for the use of radiographic supplies including iodinated contrast while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control. This position, in addition to superb technical skills, will also require the ability to follow the CRMC service commitments to customers and fellow staff. Other duties as assigned.
