The Dietitian 1-Weight Management Program coordinates many aspects of the weight management program for the LLUH entities. Conducts individual and group weight management sessions, analyzes food diaries and provides weight management recommendations. Presents food demonstrations and campus seminars on diet and employee wellness. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum one year of weight management program or related experience required. Registered Dietitian (RD) required. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification preferred.
Must be able to use a computer and all software necessary to the position such as Microsoft Office and Outlook. Ability to use basic office equipment such as printer, fax machine, telephone, copier, and scanner. Must be able to use necessary health assessment equipment such as blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, Seca height tool, Tanita scale, and Cholestech LDX machine and control equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with others. Must be able to effectively speak to large or small groups of people. Ability to be organized, hardworking, dedicated, and energetic. Must be able to follow directions, learn quickly, and be open to criticism. Basic math skills required. Ability to work calmly and courteously when under pressure. Able to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
