Shift: Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Job Overview: As a Customer Service Representative, you will support collections process for all self-pay accounts. You will be responsible for handling incoming inquiries from families, assisting with billing questions, and providing support with payment plans and financial assistance applications.
Responsibilities: - Handle incoming calls and assist patients/families with billing inquiries.
- Collect payments on self-pay accounts after insurance processing or for uninsured accounts.
- Assist families in completing financial assistance applications.
- Set up and monitor payment plans in accordance with hospital policies.
- Review and explain patient statements and insurance payments.
- Check Medi-Cal eligibility, apply share of cost, and update account insurance information.
- Respond to and resolve patient complaints related to billing following policy guidelines.
Requirements: Minimum: - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or call center environment.
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility, payment processing, and authorizations.
- Experience in accounts receivable or patient financial services.
Preferred: - Associate's Degree.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
