Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a -bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• The Scheduler arranges appointments for surgical and non-surgical procedures along with pre-surgical testing for various specialties.
• Schedules surgeries and procedures for all specialties.
• Coordinates all required testing and procedures.
• Ensures all required pre-testing, patient information, and consents have been obtained and are on-site prior to the patient’s admission to the hospital.
• Acts as a liaison with patients, referrals, general practitioners, health care professionals, and patients’ family members in a compassionate and kind manner.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Understanding and use of Electronic Health Record (EMR).

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.

• Certified Scheduling Technician (CST).

• 1+ years’ experience in a hospital or physician practice setting.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
