Specimen Processor

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor to support our client's medical facility in Lewisville, TX. This is a 4+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title : Specimen Processor

Location : Lewisville, TX 75067

Pay Rate : $17.80 / hr. on W2.

Shift : Tues-Sat 9 : 30-6 : 00 CST

Duration : 4+ months

• Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Overview :

The SPT I provides general support in the Specimen Processing Department , performing tasks such as data entry, sorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, and specimen delivery . The role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment

Key Responsibilities :

Perform data entry (min. 6,000 keystrokes / hour) with accuracy and speed

Handle specimen presort, accessioning (A-station), and delivery to labs

Process specimens (centrifuging, aliquoting, imaging / microfilming)

Adhere to safety protocols and compliance regulations

Maintain clean work area and contribute to team productivity

Communicate effectively with team and support staff

Work Environment :

Production-focused with emphasis on quality and turnaround time

Exposure to biohazard materials ; PPE and safety compliance required

Physical demands

Walking throughout the shift; lifting up to 25 lbs

Schedule

Primarily

night shift ; must be flexible for weekends, holidays, and overtime

Qualifications :

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

Basic computer proficiency; medical / lab knowledge preferred

Experience

No prior experience required, but lab or healthcare background is a plus
