Nurse Practitioner Specialty is responsible for providing for the health care needs of patients in collaboration with a physician, through advanced assessment and identification of health states including abnormal conditions, diagnosing, treatment therapies and/or evaluation. Performs care in the specialty area of nephrology and patients on dialysis.
How will you make an impact: - Utilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards to provide direct clinical services for patients within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions.
- Acts independently to perform physical assessments, diagnostic functions, specialized risk assessments, and make critical decisions regarding a wide variety of health situations, including high risk and crisis situations.
- Acquires patient health histories and evaluates patient, performing physical examinations.
- Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.
- Discusses case with physician.
- Formulates and documents care plan.
- Prescribes medication, therapies and/or other forms of treatment.
- Evaluates the patient's response to therapy.
Minimum Requirements: - Requires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioner; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Active Nurse Practitioner Board Certification
- Current, unrestricted RN license and NP license in the state of California is required.
- Certification in a specialty or minimum of 1 year experience in the specialty area of nephrology.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: - Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Experience in either Primary Care or an Internal Medicine setting with adults and geriatric patient population.
**The posted compensation range represents the national market average. Compensation for roles located in premium or high-cost geographic markets may fall above this range. This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.**

$149,140.50
