The Ambulatory Float Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works in variety of dynamic specialty clinics and primary care including, but not limited to, the following locations : Baldwin, Gonda, Mayo Clinic, NE Clinic, NW Clinic, SE Clinic, and Kasson. Ambulatory floats provide direct patient care to support the unique needs of the clinical practice. The LPN role in the float practice consists of assisting with patient visits by providing support in a variety of ways including assisting with procedures, rooming patients, administering immunizations, among other skills related to direct patient care. The Ambulatory Float Pool supports 16 different LPN practices serving patients from pediatrics through adulthood. An individual LPN within the Ambulatory Float Pool will train and work in six to ten different practices, specialties, or locations based on FTE and practice mix.
