PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Performs a variety of custodial and housekeeping functions to maintain desired University standards of sanitation, cleanliness and appearance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Maintain exterior of the buildings, Plaza, BLSB, Edison, College-Curtis driveways, sweep, run sweeper, use leaf blower, operate pressure washer if needed
• Empty general waste containers throughout the plaza and University, maintain cleanliness of exterior of buildings, transport trash to dumpster areas also in conjunction with departmental approved procedures for handling of bio-hazardous, hazardous, and chemical, general waste and recycle materials.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
• Remove snow, ice or debris from exterior of building and sidewalks by manual or mechanical means.
• Perform tasks in a safe manner without disruption or damage of University property
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED Preferred

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, directions or educational materials. Ability to perform minor arithmetic for dilution of chemicals.

Conditions of Employment
