Required :

BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association certs ONLY)

NIHSS (APEX required before start)

2+ years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience.

Must pass a telemetry competency exam to include identifying and measuring telemetry rhythms strips.

Unit Description

29 bed unit that is staffed with RN's and CNA / CCT's. Staffing matrix is between 1 : 4-6 patients. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT. Patient population includes treatment of any medical or stable telemetry diagnoses - COPD, sepsis, COVID and other respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawl, DM, GI bleed, etc.
