We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. This long-term contract position will involve processing payroll for up to 250 employees across multiple locations, under the guidance of an HR Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time for hourly, salaried, and union employees.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to address payroll adjustments, benefit updates, final checks, and pay increases.
- Ensure compliance with union requirements for Oregon-based employees.
- Manage employee payroll records and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Handle payroll garnishments and deductions as required.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process payroll and maintain employee data.
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and responding to employee inquiries.
- Support payroll audits and reporting needs as directed.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll data for various employee types.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly if less experienced.
- Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processing for 100-500 employees.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll garnishments and compliance regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience working with union payroll is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to address payroll-related inquiries effectively.
