Heavy Equipment Operator - Dirt Crew

2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA

  • Full-Time

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company - is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to drive / operate and control large equipment and vehicles including bulldozers, backhoes, front end loaders, scraper / tractor pans, track hoes, motor graders, mixers, and water trucks.

Requirements :

  • Skilled heavy equipment operators with verifiable experience running either some or all of the following equipment : Grader, Dozer, Scraper, Track hoe, Mixer, and Front-end Loader
  • Unload equipment from vehicles
  • Knowledge of the machine settings
  • Maintain equipment functionality often
  • Keep performance record(s) of machine functionality regularly
  • Provide preemptive maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunction
  • Pre trip and post trip inspections / evaluations of the equipment

    • Heavy Equipment Operator Skills :

    Hand and foot coordination, good communication skills, both oral and written, ability to work as a team, strong critical thinking ability, high attention to detail, ability to make decisions that prevent accidents and damage to property. Physical ability to work in a strenuous work environment and strength to operate heavy equipment and decision making abilities.

    Qualifications :

  • Must pass the background check, drug screen / physical
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
  • Must be able to work overtime when required
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, such as bending, standing, crouching, shoveling, etc.
  • Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures
