Within the CSG, the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight. We are looking for an EHP SharePoint Developer (Solutions Developer Staff II). The primary function of this position is to lead the SharePoint development efforts for the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) office. As the developer representing Aerospace on this NASA team, you’ll be instrumental in leveraging SharePoint technology to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and facilitate knowledge management for critical space exploration initiatives within EHP.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at Johnson Space Center, in Houston, TX
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and design customized SharePoint solutions aligned with the goals and objectives of the EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program, encompassing document management, task tracking, collaboration portals, and knowledge repositories.
- Configure and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms to optimize functionality, usability, and performance in support of programmatic needs and operational workflows.
- Implement user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation structures within SharePoint sites, ensuring ease of access to critical information and resources for team members involved in EVA and surface mobility activities.
- Implement security measures and access controls within SharePoint environments to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with NASA's cybersecurity policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to end-users and project teams on SharePoint usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques, fostering adoption and maximizing productivity across the program.
- Functioning as a liaison and integrator between engineering teams, data integrators, end users, scientists, and program management
- Educating end users on availability, capability, and operation of tools
- Effectively and respectfully communicating with managers and researchers across different disciplines and multiple contracts regarding data sets and reporting needs

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related STEM disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience with SharePoint development, configuration, and administrationProficiency in SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint on premStrong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site hierarchy, and security modelsFamiliarity with web development languages (eg.
