RN - Emergency Room - Per Diem

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in triage, emergency interventions, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and collect patient history and symptoms, coordinating with providers to develop patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize patient care in the emergency department, following protocols and treatment guidelines
• Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and clinical knowledge
• Perform and assist with emergency interventions, procedures, and stabilization techniques
• Maintain and perform daily checks on emergency equipment, including monitors, crash carts, and oxygen cylinders
• Ensure compliance with Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) standards and facility policies
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with EMS, medical staff, and fellow nurses to ensure timely and effective patient care

Qualifications:

• Active RN License in CA (Required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (Required)
• TNCC Certification (Preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (Required)
• Strong ability to work under pressure, assess rapidly changing conditions, and perform life-saving interventions
• Experience using EPIC or other EMR systems (Preferred)
