Working Hours

The Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse will provide services when requested 5 days per week excluding Federal Holidays. 160 estimated sessions per week normally consisting of eight (8) hour days and an optional 120 workdays not to exceed 240 workdays in a 24-month period. Any time worked in day constitutes one (1) workday. Work hours will normally be between 6 : 00 a.m. to 10 : 00 p.m. The contractor employee(s) shall not exceed 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to practice medicine in the state of California.
• 1 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• CPR certification in accordance with the American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

Summary of Duties : Provides comprehensive patient care by conducting histories and physical examinations diagnosing and treating medical conditions prescribing medications performing minor procedures and responding to medical emergencies in accordance with licensure and institutional policies. Maintains accurate clinical documentation ensures patient confidentiality and infection control compliance and collaborates with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality medical care.

Attire

Required to wear professional business attire or approved scrubs suitable for a correctional healthcare environment; khaki or green scrubs are not permitted. Jeans T-shirts tank tops sandals sweatpants and other casual clothing are prohibited.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal ethical and institutional

necessary. Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits
