Sr Staff / Senior Systems Engineer

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented senior systems engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for national defense. You will work within a team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for missile warning. Candidates will develop and implement model-based systems engineering processes in support of the Agile software development program. SciTec seeks a candidate who will thrive in an environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives.

Responsibilities

• Implementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.
• Designing and modeling software architectures for data processing systems.
• Developing artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering.
• Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.
• Communicating professionally and effectively between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team.
• Other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $117,000 - $168,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
