Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support large-scale cloud migration initiatives in a fully onsite role based in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise migrating legacy and on-premises systems to AWS, implementing DevOps best practices, and supporting enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support cloud migration efforts from on-premises or legacy platforms to AWS.

Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Develop and manage CI / CD pipelines for migrated and cloud-native applications.

Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

Implement and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)

Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams during migration planning and execution.

Perform environment readiness assessments, dependency mapping, and migration cutovers.

Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and cost optimization in AWS.

Monitor systems using CloudWatch, logging, and alerting tools.

Troubleshoot migration-related issues and provide post-migration stabilization support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering

Proven experience in cloud migration projects (re-hosting, re-platforming, refactoring)

Expertise in CI / CD tools : Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, CloudFormation acceptable)

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell

Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in AWS

Prior experience working with Telecom Domain (Mandatory)

Nice to Have

AWS Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)

Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations

Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning in AWS
