Activities Assistant/CNA

We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant/CNA to join our team and assist in planning and organizing engaging activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults and a creative mindset to develop stimulating activities that promote social interaction and enhance overall well-being. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to implement a variety of programs and events that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating a wide range of activities and events for residents, both on-site and off-site.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop monthly activity calendars that reflect the needs, preferences, and abilities of our residents.
- Lead and facilitate group activities, such as games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, music sessions, and outings.
- Provide individualized support and assistance to residents who require additional help or accommodation during activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Nursing Assistant – active license is required.
- Previous experience with resident activities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred and previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
