JOB TITLE : Software Test Engineer

LOCATION : Tustin CA

PAY RATE : $80 / hour

Qualifying Questions :

Summary :

Develop and execute test plans procedures and cases for avionics and electrical software systems

Perform software verification and validation activities in compliance with aerospace standards

Conduct unit integration and system-level testing of safety-critical software

Interface with avionics electrical and systems engineering teams to define test coverage and requirements

Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) software-in-the-loop (SIL) and system integration testing

Identify document and track software defects through resolution

Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on software performance and compliance

Support troubleshooting efforts during integration ground testing and flight test activities

Contribute to test documentation requirements traceability and certification artifacts

Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field

Experience in software testing or verification within avionics electrical or embedded systems environments

Understanding of safety-critical software development and test methodologies

Ability to read and interpret system requirements schematics and interface documentation

Familiarity with scripting or test automation tools (Python MATLAB or similar)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
