MedPro Healthcare Staffing , a leading Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is excited to welcome skilled Sterile Processing Technicians to join our team on a contract basis with one of our prestigious healthcare clients.

Key Requirements :

  • Sterile Processing Technician certification is required.
  • Preferred experience : at least 18 months in a Sterile Processing Tech role, with a focus on acute / inpatient care settings.
  • Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association may also be required.

    • Responsibilities :

    The primary role of the Sterile Processing Technician is to ensure the safe and effective handling of surgical instruments and equipment. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Decontaminating and sterilizing instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Assembling, wrapping, and sterilizing trays of instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Adhering to standard precautions while working in decontamination and sterilization areas.
  • Monitoring biological and chemical wash solutions to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Sorting and organizing mismatched sets of instruments and ensuring they are promptly available for sterile processing customers.
  • Maintaining inventory levels in the sterile processing department and operating room.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Delivering compassionate and effective patient care through a focus on quality and professionalism.
  • Creating a safe environment for staff and patients, in line with national patient safety initiatives.
